As we enter into 2014, I challenge you to consider the words Mary DeMuth wrote in her book, Everything. "He created us for adventure, not ease."
Are you living a life of adventure, wondering what's around the next corner, pursuing paths not taken before, living and walking and breathing faith in God?
Or are you sitting back, watching the world go round, hoping to have enough to make ends meet and holding back a gift out of fear that you won't have enough for your own, waiting for God to show up?
Sometimes, we have to stand up, climb a mountain, run a race, go on a hunt, survive the rough waters, or just be still and know that God is who He claims to be.
We have to live a life of adventure. Not ease.
My family is starting this new year in the midst of an adventure.
We are moving for the third time in a twelve-month period.
My husband is starting a job with a company new to him.
I am in the throes of packing and wondering where the finances for the move will come from.
Longing to be with my husband, not miles apart.
And waiting in the hope of the Lord.
But working in faith that He will meet us as we put feet to our faith.
Once again.
Because
The goodness of God endures continually.
{Psalm 52:1b}
